So I just joined the 6th grade girls book club!! I think I'm more excited than my students haha. I've been noticing a lot of my girls reading the same book: Money Hungry by Sharon G. Flake. I asked these girls what the deal was with this particular book and they let me know that it's the new book for the book club which is headed up by the librarian. (Whom I adore and who has the cutest style ever!!) So when I was chatting it up with the librarian one day I started talking about YAL and she let me check out books from the library!!! I checked out 2 books plus Money Hungry--I'm already to chapter 9 and our next meeting is March 10 :)
And hopefully my next post will be more interesting than this one!!!
