Well, the living room is complete!! Mom and I took an impromtu trip to Ole Time Pottery on Saturday to see if they had these Christmas trees that she wanted (think Holister style trees in different sizes). You know that we couldn't pass up the fall decorations while we were there and so this is what we ended up with:
The white pumpkin came from Wal-Mart while the tiny pumkins and gourds--along with the leaves--came from Ole Time Pottery. The picture really is too small for the space, but we needed to stick something up there for time-being. If you look closely at the picture, you'll see it's a far away picture of a covered bridge. It's the same covered bridge that my mom and step-dad got married in--pretty neat!! Cool fact: The mantle came from an old house. It's probably 100 years old--we had it stripped, sanded and painted and it gives a whole new look to the living room!!!!
This is on the front porch of our house. The fake mums came from Ole Time Pottery, and the small wooden crates came from rummaging through the remnants of an old estate sale. They seem to be old military issue crates.
Don't you just love fall decorations?? The only thing I love more than the colors of fall is the Christmas-time decorations. It's just something about seeing Christmas decorations that make me so happy!!!
